Let’s talk about Community and Earth Awareness with Danae Elarde
Tuesday 12th November, Lennox Head Surf Club, Lennox Head – 5.30-8pm
An intimate, fun, and educational night with environmental scientist Danae Elarde, talking about earth awareness and how it relates to sustainability in our home, in particular the kitchen.
The kitchen is likely to be the centre of most of the operations within your household.
This centralised room is most probably the hub for many things including your dinner parties, your kids’ homework area or your favourite place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine.
That being said, it is vital to ensure recycling principles are implemented in this part of the house. Whether you’re wasteful with food are still using plastics or you always leave the kitchen lights on, there’s no better time to change your routine than now.
Danae Elarde is an Environmental Educator for North East Waste and for the last 5 years, studied Environmental Science at Southern Cross University. She majored in resource management with a focus on waste management. Dee has always had a passion for sustainability and creativity and thinking outside the box. With the worlds vast growing populations and the increase of exhausted resources, Dee recognises the collective need for sustainable education and is keen to share her growing knowledge. Dee has lived in Lennox Head for the last six years and fully enjoys what the area has to offer, from beach to waterfalls to music festivals.
